Reparations-Inspired Action
Assembly’s initiative for reparations-inspired action was adopted in October 2022. It is a commitment to pay on the debt owed in the U.S. for the harm inflicted on African Americans and Indigenous Peoples since before the nation’s founding. This harm stems from a culture of White Supremacy, where the bodies, labors, and histories of Black and Indigenous Peoples were stolen and used for the benefit of White Americans.
