Youth Mentoring

When children reach their middle school years, they are connected with an adult mentor with whom to build a relationship.

Assembly MYF

The high school students at Assembly gather for worship and play on Sundays and at other significant activities throughout the year. Several of the youth have come from other congregations to be part of the group. Like the rest of the congregation, they are diverse and value the community they have.

The second half of each Sunday morning service, they sprawl on dilapidated furniture which has been handed down from members of the congregation. Topics on Sunday morning range from sexuality to peace and justice issues.

Around twice a month, the youth gather in an MYFer's home for a Sunday evening drop-in. Activities range from Capture the Flag to making donuts.

Each February, the group takes over a family's home for a week of living together. The family graciously moves out for Live-In, which is a long-standing AMC tradition. Each November, the MYF hosts the congregation for a night of square dancing and music in a barn.

Junior Youth

Activities for junior youth are organized by the coordinators - both fun and serious.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes for children are held throughout the year. Age groupings vary from year to year. During the 2003-04 school year, the 4-7 yr olds have participated in a Children's Worship Sunday School class.

K-5 Activity Night

Children in grades K-5 are hosted once a month by one of Assembly's small groups for fun activities, such as swimming or candle dipping.

Caleb displays his candles at the monthly K-5 activity night.

Birthday Visits

Preschool through Junior Youth children receive an annual birthday visit from one of the pastors.
